2008 is our Chamber's year to make preparations for our 100th year of serving businesses. Stay in tune with the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce as we create an updated image and promote what we have been doing for the past 100 years for businesses and what we will do for businesses in the next 100 years. As the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce continues to grow, we're working hard to further enhance Oregon City's business climate. Our Chamber is a direct link to Business, Government & Community. We provide up-to-date information on civic and legislative actions and are your source for demographics, area profiles and business referrals. From our great annual events such as the Antique Fair, Annual Dinner and Golf Tournament to our weekly networking events - GMOC, monthly Chamber After Hours events and our hard-working Membership, Government Affairs and other committees - we're working hard to influence positive economic development for Oregon City.

The Oregon City Chamber is an active organization that relies on the participation of our members to help promote the Oregon City and Clackamas County economy. You can help by becoming involved in The Chamber's activities by participating on one of our event, activities, or leadership committees.
AmbassadorsChair: Janine Brooks, BCT 503- 632-2528Meetings: QuarterlyAmbassadors are the "greeters" of the Oregon City Chamber at all of our high-energy networking events and are mentors to new Chamber members. Commitment is for 1 year. MarketingChair: Bob Kincaid, Minuteman Press 503-657-7787Meetings: 1st Tuesday at 8:30 am, 221 Molalla AvenueThe Marketing Committee works on methods for increasing visibility of the Chamber, traffic into member businesses and promoting Oregon City to visitors. MembershipChair: Hope Loose, TLC Carpet Cleaning 503-467-9461Meetings: 1st Thursday at 7:30 am, Singer Hill CaféThe Membership Committee considers ways to provide members with better service. The committee and board work to provide value through membership services to our home-based members, small business and larger corporations. Government & Economic AffairsChair: Mark Ellingson, Lewis & Clark Bank 503-212-3112Meetings: 2nd Thursday at 3:30 pm, Fire Hall (7th & John Adams)The GEAC considers issues of importance to business, provide advocacy for businesses to influence our city's economic vitality. GEAC is gaining in value and credibility as we deal with issues facing business and the community.

Board of Directors

The government of the Chamber of Commerce, direction of its work, the control of its finances and property and the control and direction of its President/CEO shall be vested in a Board of Directors consisting of 17 members. Members of the Board of Directors typically complete a three year commitment with one-third of the elected board retiring each year. Our elections take place in November and new board members are installed in January. Furthermore the Board of Directors elects an Executive Committee from within.
